As I grew up I watched my mother knit mittens and hats to keep my hands and head warm in the long Wisconsin winters. Also I was inspired by my Grandmother's talent to create the most beautiful table cloths using crochet cotton. I don't remember when I learned to knit but it is something I can never grow sick of. I may set my needles aside from time to time but I always come back for what I sometimes call my "Needle Therapy"
As any Knitter knows you will always end up with a stash of yarn which lead me to weaving in the past couple of years. Starting with what I thought was a simple loom, rigid heddle, I soon found out the beautifully textured fabric that can be created and not too long after that I became the owner of a floor loom. I am still growing and learning the art of weaving but as I advance through this process I will be offering the best of what I create on my looms.
I learned to sew through 4-H growing up but never really enjoyed the process of sewing clothing but then I was introduced to the world of quilting. It has been several years now since I started quilting that I now produce quilts to sell through consignment at a shop in Door County Wisconsin and items in my Etsy Shop.
Growing up in Wisconsin and now living in the Upstate of South Carolina I still enjoy the Simple Comforts that life can give and I hope you will find the items I offer bring comfort into your life.
